Admin rental system

Revenue, receivables, recent rentals and top-renting garments across branches.
The problem
A rental gown is inventory that leaves and comes back. Each piece has bookings, fittings, deposits and cleaning time between clients, across more than one branch. Spreadsheets can't stop a gown being promised to two brides.
What we built
- Rental POSScan garments, pick dates, take down payments and security deposits at checkout.
- QR-coded garmentsEvery physical piece has its own QR code, status and rental history.
- Date-based availabilityA gown out today can still be booked later, with a cleaning buffer between rentals.
- PackagesFixed-price bundles that fill slots by category, with add-ons on top.
- Branch transfersGarments dispatched, tracked in transit and scanned in at the receiving branch.
- Follow-ups boardKanban for custom orders and supplier tasks, linked to the sales order.
- ReportsRevenue, receivables, expenses, security deposits and staff logs per branch.
Engineering notes
- Laravel 13 API with Sanctum; Next.js 15 admin app
- Branch scoping enforced on the server for every query, not just hidden in the UI
- Login token kept in an httpOnly cookie behind a server-side proxy
- Roles: admin across branches, managers and staff bound to one branch
- Manila time zone for due dates and late-penalty day counts
- Rental lifecycle covered by automated tests
